Instant Pot Fall Off the Bone Bison Back Ribs Recipe
This recipe is for those who have joined the Instant Pot Craze. We wanted to make the recipe as simple, efficient and basic as possible using our Red Cedar Bison Back Ribs. You can vary it by first using the sauté function to quickly crisp up the exterior of the ribs in oil and finishing them off in the oven for 10-20 minutes to caramelize the BBQ sauce, but the flavor is perfect even when you chose to follow the most basic steps we listed here.
To determine our cooking times we used the Instant Pot Cooking Times for Beef Ribs since Bison isn’t on the list. We tried both 25 minutes and 30 minutes with perfect results both times.
We suggest cooking defrosted bison meat rather than rushing and using it frozen. You can find the tips for pressure cooking frozen meat in an Instant Pot here if you insist, but the key is that frozen meat must be boiled and that is not something we suggest doing to bison meat.
